Artists Explore Nature at the Miller Art Museum

The exhibition “Wildlife Biennial XV” will open Saturday, June 4, with a public reception from 5 – 6:30 pm. Many of the artists from across the state will be present to view the show and talk with visitors, and Luxemburg painter Pat Williams will discuss her work at a museum talk Thursday, June 9 at 10:30 am.

Forty Wisconsin artists accepted the museum’s invitation to explore animal life around the world. Their work includes paintings, cast bronze sculpture, carvings, and drawings. The exhibition will continue through July 19.

Door County artists participating in the exhibition are Jan Comstock, Thomas Copet, Todd M. Copet, Dan Cross, Malin Ekman, Emery Krueger, Jeffrey Olson, Mike Orthober, Sandra Place, Tom Seagard, Clyde K. Smith and Jerry Waite.

The exhibition is made possible by sponsors John and Kathy Campbell, the Robert E. Hansen Family Foundation, and Margaret Utzinger. Museum hours are Monday from 10 am – 8 pm and Tuesday through Saturday 10 am – 5 pm. The museum is located within the Door County Library at 107 S. 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.
