Oil painter Andrea Harris will give a free demonstration and talk on every aspect of oil painting on Oct. 12, 1 – 3 pm, in “Understanding Contemporary Oil Painting Material.” This program is sponsored by Gamblin oil paints.
A clothed model version of Life Drawing Guild will be held Oct. 14, 6:15 – 8:15 pm. Models will be clothed in an array of costumes, themed each week, to allow artists a new and exciting format to explore the human figure. The cost is $32/four-week October session, or $16 drop-in; special student rates are available.
Youth Art Programs will be held the following days: Oct. 14, 3 – 4:30 pm, for ages 5 – 8; Oct. 15, 3:30 – 5:30 pm, for ages 9 – 12; and Oct. 17, 3:30 – 5:30 pm, for ages 13 – 18. Life Drawing Guild offers artists the opportunity to draw from the human figure, and will be held on Oct. 15, 6:15 – 8:15 pm. Sessions are $40/four-week October session, or $20 drop-in.
The next Bottle & Brush is Oct. 17, 6 – 8:15 pm. Bring your favorite beverage and snacks and enjoy an evening of canvas painting. The cost is $35 per person – all art materials included.
Artists Guild’s free monthly art lecture series – Art Speak – is presented by Professor Jennifer Aldrich, and is set for Oct. 19, 10 am – 12 pm.
