Artists’ Reception at Edgewood Orchard Galleries

Edgewood Orchard Galleries (edgewoodorchard.com) will host a reception July 20, 4-7 pm, for its Exhibit III featured artists: Michele Dangelo, Judi Ekholm, Marcia McDonough, Jim Rose and Leslie Wu. They will speak briefly about their work at 5 pm, and wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Dangelo’s distinctive painting style centers around a basic icon such as a house or a boat that she infuses with vigorous but reserved energy. Ekholm’s colorful floral and landscape oil paintings will be displayed with a combination of her classic larger paintings and smaller works. McDonough’s Mack & Bancker jewelry collection features interchangeable necklace strands and centerpieces. Rose, an award-winning maker of steel furniture, combines found and painted steel to handcraft furnishings inspired by early American furniture and historic quilts. Wu’s serene oil paintings explore the relationships among the power of place, memories, emotions and identity. Exhibit III will be on display through Aug. 20.
