ARTrageous Benefit Celebrates 10 Years of Women’s Fund

The ARTrageous benefit is returning to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Women’s Fund of Door County and will offer the opportunity to purchase original art at the artrageous price of $99 per piece. Entrance to the event is free.

The art preview will begin Sept. 21, 3 pm, at Hidden Acres Farm, 11128 Beach Road in Sister Bay. The art sale will begin at 4:15 pm.

During the preview, Lori Weir and Mary Beth Williamson will provide musical entertainment; Lautenbach Orchards will offer hard and soft cider tastings; plein air artists Pam Flanders, Lynn Gilchrist, Mary Mayhew, Dorothy McDowell and Cheryl Stidwell Parker will discuss their inspirations and demonstrate their skills; and award-winning works from the Miller Art Museum’s 44th annual Salon of High School Art by high school artists Mackenzie Ellefson, Katie Frank and Claire Tellstrom will be on display.

Jeanne Kuhns is this year’s featured artist. Her work “Like the Wind” will go to the raffle winner following the art sale. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $20, available at the benefit or in advance (through Sept. 17) at the Miller Art Museum. The raffle winner need not be present to win.
