Artzy Studio is celebrating its seventh season this summer, so owner and artist Cynthia L. Koshalek has designed and created a new, celebratory ceramic series that’s inspired by the area’s cherry trees and orchards.
“I wanted to create something both traditional and yet still have a bit of a modern style,” Koshalek said. “The dot pattern was inspired by the traditional cherry patterns created in the 1940s and ’50s. I wanted the cherry icon itself to be more streamlined and modern. My new designs will be great additions on their own, but will also work well with older vintage pieces.”
