Associated Bank Awards Grant to Altrusa Club

Associated Bank has awarded the Altrusa Club of Door County a $2,000 grant for its annual Back-to-School Fair. The money will be used to purchase athletic shoes and socks for participating students.

Statistics shared on the Shoes That Fit website report that having the proper athletic shoe increases self-esteem and physical activity and improves behavior and attendance.

Kristine Vlies, branch manager of Associated Bank in Sturgeon Bay, said that partnering with Altrusa will make a difference in the lives of local children, “one pair of shoes at a time.”
