Assumption Novena Culminates in Feast Day Mass

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is celebrating the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a novena, which includes nine days of prayer that began Aug. 7 and will culminate in the Feast Day Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Aug. 15, 11 am, followed by the traditional eucharistic rosary procession outdoors. Assumption weekend also includes a talk by author and radio show host Patrick Madrid on Aug. 14, 1 pm.

The novena prayers are available to pray remotely (visit to receive daily prayers by email) and as part of the shrine’s daily 11 am mass in the chapel, where pilgrims can pray in person.
