At the Crossroads

On Sunday, October 3 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, the Crossroads at Big Creek will host tours of The Historical Village. Members of the Door County Historical Society will be selling caramel apples and pumpkin pie in the Warren House.

At 2 pm, Barb Chisholm, costumed as a Belgium pioneer, will present at first person account of the fire that devastated much of southern Door County in 1871. The program will take place in the Chapel and is free to the public.

On Monday, October 4 at 6:30 pm, the Friends of Crossroads will hold their monthly meeting. Attendees of the meeting will plan activities for the coming month and make final preparations for the Global Work Party on 10-10-10. On Tuesday, October 5 from 9 – 11 am, the Friends of the Crossroads will work to control invasive species. Participants will meet at the Collins Learning Center.

At 7 pm, the Door County Astronomical Society will host their monthly meeting in the Astronomy Center (use Utah Street entrance). Tom Minahan will present an illustrated lecture on “General Relativity.”

Crossroads at Big Creek is located at 2041 Michigan (County TT) just east of Sturgeon Bay. The Collin Learning Center is open daily from 2 – 5 pm. The Historical Village is open 1:30-3:30 on Sundays and by appointment.
