The Crossroads at Big Creek will continue its educational programs into the fall.

On Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will help attendees of “Introduction to the Autumn Sky” find fall constellations using a green laser pointer. The event is free to the public and will take place at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center (use Utah Street Entrance).

On Friday, Oct. 29 at 2 pm, the Crossroads will host a cross-generational class entitled “Owls.” A pair including one adult and one youth (age 7 – 13) will learn about owls through video, games, and activities during this program. Pre-registration is required.

A similar class, entitled “Monsters in the Sky” will take place Saturday, Oct. 20 at 4 pm at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center. Through this program, an adult and child pair will learn about the mythology of constellations from presenter Mike Lynch, author of Wisconsin STARWATCH.
