Attorneys Settle STR Issue in Sevastopol

The Town of Sevastopol had intended to hold a public hearing regarding a short-term-rental (STR) property that “has created some difficulties for the town and surrounding residents,” according to Dan Woelfel, Sevastopol chair, during the town board’s Dec. 19 meeting.

The town had scheduled a public hearing for Jan. 10 to provide information and hear public comments, concerns and questions regarding the 2022 rentals that took place at 4248 Glidden Drive, owned by Lake House–Kupaki Holdings.

The town’s STR ordinance allows the town to fine STR owners, pause their renting or completely rescind their permit. The public hearing was subject to change if the attorneys for both parties came to an agreement before Jan. 5, in which case, the town would post a cancellation of the hearing on its website – which it did.
