Auditions Announced for “The Belgian Detective”

Auditions for the upcoming Rogue Theater’s production of The Belgian Detective by Carol Lyons, will take place March 8 at 3 pm at The Depot Performing Arts Center. It’s the Roaring ‘20s and wealthy Chicago socialite Vera Riche, widow of Randolph N. Riche, the Wilmette Pork King, is throwing a party at her Door County vacation home. The festivities are barely underway when Vera and her secretary, Rod Furrent, find the body of gangster Willie “The Wiener” DeBlotto in front of the living room fireplace.

Vera decides the only person who can solve the crime and get her party back on track is “that famous Belgian detective.” She wants Hercule Poirot. She gets Petey Poirot, great-nephew of the famous sleuth, who lives in the Door County community of Namur. The Belgian Detective revolves around Petey’s efforts to uncover the murderer.

Performances for The Belgian Detective are scheduled for June 13 – 29, directed by Renee Kujawski. For more information call 920.818.0816 or email [email protected].
