Auditions Announced for The Odd Couple

Auditions for the fall TAPWorks production of Neil Simon’s classic The Odd Couple will be held Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12 at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. Auditions for both days are being held at 6:30 pm.

Four men are needed for the roles of Oscar and Felix’s poker playing buddies, and two women are needed to play the Pigeon Sisters, the hilarious British upstairs neighbors.

Renee Kujawski will direct the wildly funny comedy that follows the relationship between the divorced and terminally messy Oscar Madison and the newly separated and fastidious Felix Unger. As the action unfolds, the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together, with hilarious results.

The Odd Couple will open on October 8, with eight performances scheduled for two consecutive weekends – October 8 – 11 and October 15 – 18. Rehearsals for the show will begin August 17, with times and locations to be announced.

No advance preparation is needed, and actors will be asked to do cold readings from the script.
