Auditorium Has Roasted Coulson On the Menu

Andy Coulson, former owner of the White Gull Inn, is next in line for some rough treatment in the latest Door Community Auditorium Celebrity Roast.

This year’s roast takes place Friday, Nov. 16 at Mr. G’s Fernwood Gardens Ballroom. The 1970s-themed roast features an all-star cast of roasters including Larry Thoreson, Steven Seyfer, Brandon Bogenschutz, Jeanne Aurelius, Tad Gilster, and Digger DeGroot, with Dick Burress serving as the master of ceremonies.

In addition to his years at the White Gull Inn, Coulson has served as president of the Gibraltar School Board and plays banjo in the bluegrass band, Highland Road.

Coulson is the fourth person to be roasted by the Auditorium, joining the likes of J.J. Johnson, Dick Burress and Digger DeGroot.

Dinner tickets are not available at the door, but roast and dessert tickets are available at the auditorium until 5 pm Friday, Nov. 16. The roast starts at 7 pm.

The event is a fundraiser for the Door Community Auditorium. The roast starts with spirits and hors d’oeuvres at 6 pm, with dinner and roast at 7 pm. Tickets for dinner and roast are $100, or $25 for dessert and roast. A portion of dinner purchases are tax deductible donations.

Buy tickets at dcauditorium.org or by calling or visiting the DCA box office.
