Audrey Off’s Artwork Available at Craft Cottage

Painting by Audrey M. Off.

The Jacksonport Craft Cottage is pleased to include the artwork of Audrey Off in their gallery of local Door Peninsula artists.

Audrey Mae Off was born in Sturgeon Bay, and her art reflects the profound influence of water and nature. She resided on the family farm, a stone’s throw from the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal.

At an early age, Audrey showed great interesting drawing and painting, making it her concentration through high school and college. She attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Communication and Visual Arts.

Audrey’s painting style emerged in a broad variety of mediums: watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed-media. She has worked in graphic arts, such as lithography, intaglio, and serigraphy. One of the ways she satisfies her desire to work in three dimensions is her technique of using real rocks, sand and trees to build up a sculptural relief painting that has a “super real” look. The view gives the feeling of being on location and allows one to experience a little piece of nature.

On the technical side, Audrey has been long established as an expert custom framer and gallery coordinator. She has worked with various artists in the area who have been generous with their advice and critiques. She has exhibited throughout Wisconsin, receiving merit and purchase awards.

Audrey’s originals and reproductions are available at her gallery and also at the Jacksonport Craft Cottage, 6275 Hwy. 57 in downtown Jacksonport – open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays or by appointment (920.823.2288) throughout the winter months.
