Aug. 24: National Weather Service Issues Beach Hazard Statement

The National Weather Service’s Green Bay office has issued a beach hazard statement until 10pm today, Aug. 24. The office is warning of high wave action, strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions at beaches of Door County, including Rock Island State Beach, Baileys Harbor beaches and Whitefish Dunes beach. In Kewaunee County: Crescent Beach and the City of Kewaunee beach. Strong south winds will continue to bring waves of 3 to 7 feet through mid-evening to the Lake Michigan shore of Northeast Wisconsin.
