Author Brian Freeman Appears in Door County

This issue’s featured excerpt comes from Brian Freeman’s newest suspense novel, The Bone House, featuring a Door County setting. In a review of his newest book, the Minneapolis Star Tribune called it “a scorching suspense novel.”

The Friends of Door County Libraries will host Freeman for their spring Book and Author event. He will appear at the Miller Art Museum on Friday, May 13. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm; the program will begin at 7 pm. He will also appear at the Sister Bay Liberty Grove Firehouse in Sister Bay at 10 am on Saturday, May 14. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 am.

A former business journalist, Freeman made an auspicious debut with his first book, Immoral, which won the 2006 Macavity Award for Best First Novel. It was also a nominee for the Edgar, Dagger, Anthony and Barry awards.

Copies of The Bone House and Freeman’s other books will be available for sale/signing at both events. As always, this free program is presented as a community service by the Friends of Door County Libraries. A donation of a non-perishable food item for Feed My People is appreciated.
