Richard Purinton

A Washington Island Ferry Line employee of 36 years and married to Mary Jo, Richard Purinton lives on Main Road and is active in island organizations and personal pursuits such as motorcycling, boating, gardening, sculpture, photography, and writing. He is the author of Words on Water – A Ferryman’s Journal (Cross+Roads Press, 2009) and the soon-to-be-published Bridges Are Still News (Island Bayou Press, November 2010).
