Aventuras Day Celebrates Latinx Community

Kinect M1’s Aventuras Day saw nearly 100 students and teachers from across three counties and six school districts (Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, Algoma, Kewaunee and Denmark) come together at Crossroads at Big Creek for a day of exploration and social connection.

The event focused on the celebration of the LatinX culture and the building of meaningful relationships between the people and places in which we all reside. Students and teachers had the opportunity to engage in bilingual group conversations, outdoor activities and artistic expression.

Students participated in various activities at Crossroads including having a s’mores snack. Submitted.

“In order to build communities of the future we need to think and operate differently,” said Nick Cochart, co-founder of Kinect M1. “Throughout Northeast Wisconsin we need to connect our assets together with the vision of creating communities that celebrate the harmony between diverse stakeholders and a desire to create something better.”

Kinect will continue to expand events like Aventuras Day within the region. Learn more at kinectm1.com.
