Join Roots Yoga, 400 2nd St. in Algoma, for an Ayurveda Workshop on March 22, 2-3:30 pm. The workshop is self-care for seasonal allergies and living in harmony with nature’s cycles.
Ayurveda is an ancient, all-natural healing system that incorporates daily routines, nutrition and yoga to keep the body balanced. Certified Ayurvedic health practitioner Virginia Van Pay will lead this interactive workshop, in which participants will learn how to use a neti pot to help facilitate the cleansing process, gently rinsing away dust, pollen and other irritants. It will conclude with a 30-minute yoga session.
The workshop is $25 and is limited to five participants.
Roots Yoga will also host Sunday Sound and Meditation on March 29, 2-3:30 pm. Allow yourself to settle into spring with this relaxing class. Enjoy restorative yoga with guided meditation and vibrational sound therapy using singing bowls.
Yoga mats and props will be provided. The class is $20, and space is limited to 10 participants. Register and reserve your space in these classes at rootsyogamindbody.com.
