Back-to-School Fair Provides more than 480 Backpacks to Students

Altrusa’s annual Back-to-School Fair provided new backpacks to more than 480 children at this year’s Aug. 10 event at the YMCA. The recent generous grant of $500 from the Door County Community Foundation’s Children and Youth Fund contributed to an awesome supply of backpacks for attendees. In addition to backpacks, children received school supplies, paid registration fees, school shirts, new shoes, bike helmets and other new school things.
