The Door County Master Gardener Association will continue its gardening lecture series with “Backyard Invasives: It’s Not All Bad News” on Oct. 6, 6:30 pm, in the Collins Learning Center’s lecture hall at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
Samantha Koyen – a conservationist with the Door County Soil and Water Department and the coordinator for the Door County Invasive Species Team – will give an hour-long presentation on invasive species, offer hints on how to identify potentially problematic plants and suggest native species to plant to help support local wildlife.
