Baileys Harbor Historical Society Hosts “Baileys Harbor Shipwrecks”

The Baileys Harbor Historical Society will host the talk “Baileys Harbor Shipwrecks” for their June 7 meeting. This is an opportunity to learn about Baileys Harbor shipwrecks from Russell Leitz of the Wisconsin Underwater Archeology Association.

Leitz is a diver, researcher, and writer; he is currently exploring shipwrecks in Baileys Harbor. He will share his knowledge of the several vessels that have met their end in the harbor, and address the importance of preserving underwater historic sites.

The meeting will be held at 7 pm at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall, and refreshments will be served.
