Bazyli Studio and Linden Gallery Collaborate on Asian Collection

Skye and Peter Ciesla of Bazyli Studio create contemporary, hand-embroidered beaded jewelry and accessories. For the past seven years, the artists have created jewelry using exquisite silver and copper findings from the foothills of the Himalayas in China. Collected by Jeanee and Brian Linden, owners of Linden Gallery in Ellison Bay, this collaboration has brought many special pieces to clients in Door County.

The Lindens are always on the hunt for unusual handmade silver or metals that have been lost from their original settings. The Cieslas take these “findings” and skillfully remake them into fine pieces of jewelry that honor the cultural traditions of the original Chinese artisans. Each piece is unique; the Cieslas take their work seriously, knowing that they are carrying on a tradition of jewelry making that will ideally pass the test of time. They spend quality time detailing each piece; thus every year only a few choice pieces can be made.

The Cieslas will be featured in a trunk show at Linden Gallery on Aug. 10 & 11, 10 am – 5 pm. In addition to the Asian Collection, they will also bring along their other jewelry, and one of Peter’s “Butterfly” wall hangings will be displayed.

Linden Gallery, open 10 am – 5 pm daily, is located at 12001 Mink River Road in Ellison Bay. For more information call 920.854.2487 or visit lindensgallery.com.
