Free volunteer training for this winter’s Ski-for-Free program will be held Dec. 8, 6 – 7 pm, at Crossroads at Big Creek Environmental Preserve, 2041 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay. Hands-on volunteer training will be provided to teach volunteers how to assist new skiers who visit Crossroads to borrow skis and snowshoes for use on Crossroad’s five-mile trail system. The volunteering commitment can be one to a couple of times this winter. Help promote healthy lifelong outdoor recreation in our community. The Ski-for-Free program is sponsored by Door County Silent Sports and Friends of Crossroads. To participate, call 920.746.5895.
