Become Eligible to Play

A meeting for all Sturgeon Bay High School incoming freshmen and transfer students who want to participate in fall sports during the 2015-16 school year will be held on July 20 at 6 pm in the auditorium. For those who have a conflict with the July 20 meeting, a second meeting will be held on July 27 at 6 pm in the auditorium. Parents of incoming freshmen and transfer students as well as the student athletes are required to attend one of these meetings. The Co-Curricular Code of Conduct, WIAA information, and all required paperwork will be reviewed.

Student athletes in Grades 10, 11 and 12 who have previously participated in athletics at SBHS are not required to attend the meeting on July 20 or 27. However, these student athletes and their parents are required to watch the Co-Curricular Code Presentation video posted on the school website at sturbay.k12.wi.us/high/athletics.cfm. Instead of watching the video, these student athletes and their parents are welcome to attend one of the meetings.

Upon satisfaction of all obligations, the student athlete will be issued a Permit to Participate, which should be presented to the coach in order to begin participation in any activity. A student athlete is not allowed to participate unless this form is presented to the coach. For more information, contact athletic director Patrick Blizel at 920.746.1830 or [email protected].
