BEGIN Visits Popelka Gallery for Next Show

BEGIN is a creative music series organized by William Bradley and Jon Mueller. The series features nationally and internationally known artists working in improvised and other creative approaches to sound and instrumentation.

On June 2, drummer and percussionist Tyler Damon will perform as part of the series at 7 pm at Popelka Trenchard Glass Gallery in Sturgeon Bay.

Damon is a Chicago-based artist whose work aims to reveal obscured and untold narratives via drums/percussion and free improvisation. In addition to solo work, he is involved in extended duo exhibitions with guitarist Tashi Dorji, saxophonist Dave Rempis and bassist Darin Gray

(as Duo Oninbo). He is presently drumming with Circuit Des Yeux and is also regularly engaged with John Dawson as the shape-shifting outfit Thee Open Sex.

Damon has toured extensively in North America, Europe and Vietnam and is also regularly engaged with other artists, musicians and heads of various sorts across the American Midwest. For more information about Damon visit tylerdamon.com.
