Belgian Heritage Center Hosts Waffle Breakfast June 24

The Belgian Heritage Center will host a Belgian waffle breakfast June 24, 9 am – 1 pm. The breakfast includes waffles, eggs, potatoes, beverages and Marchant’s Belgian trippe, which is a traditional sausage from the Belgian community made with cabbage and Belgian spices. Visitors have the opportunity to view the exhibits during breakfast, which tell the story of the Belgian settlement area.

All proceeds benefit the Belgian Heritage Center in its mission to preserve and promote the area’s unique culture, history and architecture. In keeping with this mission, someone is available to scan family and community photographs from the Belgian area. These images will become part of the Belgian Heritage Center’s growing collection and may be used for the center’s displays as well as genealogical and historical research.

The Belgian Heritage Center is located at 1255 County Road DK in Brussels. The cost of breakfast is $9 for adults, $5 for children and free for children three and younger. For more information visit belgianheritagecenter.org.
