Belgian Heritage Center Waffle Breakfast June 24

The Belgian Heritage Center hosts their annual Belgian waffle breakfast on June 24. The breakfast includes waffles, eggs, potatoes, beverages and Marchant’s Belgian trippe which is a traditional sausage from the Belgian community made with cabbage and Belgian spices. As part of the event, you will have the opportunity to view the exhibits which tell the story of the Belgian settlement area.

All proceeds benefit the Belgian Heritage Center in its mission to preserve and promote the area’s unique culture, history and architecture. In keeping with this mission, someone will scan family and community photographs from the Belgian area. With each photograph the owner should include as much identifying information as possible, including names of people, location, and the approximate year. These images will become part of the Belgian Heritage Center’s growing collection and may be used for the center’s displays as well as genealogical and historical research.

The breakfast is held at the Belgian Heritage Center, located at 1255 Cty DK in Brussels, from 9 am to 1 pm. Breakfast is $9 for adults, $5 for children and free for children three and under. For more information visit belgianheritagecenter.org.
