Belgian Heritage Foundation Receives Sustainability Grant

The Door County Community Foundation recently presented a Sustainability Grant to the Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation. This grant of $1,500 will be used to help convert the sacristy of the former church into a community kitchen.

Bret Bicoy, President & CEO of the Community Foundation, says, “St. Mary of the Snows served an important role in the history of Northeast Wisconsin. We’re pleased that it can continue to thrive as the Belgian Heritage Center.”

The Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation acquired the former St. Mary of the Snows Church building in August 2010 from the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay.
