Bell and Blietz Featured at ArtWorks

“K,” an oil on linen, by Craig Blietz.

A weekend of art, wine and music took place Feb. 25 – 26 at EBCO Artworks in Sheboygan, Wis. The event featured Norma Bell, the founder of the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art (KAFA), and Craig Blietz, the academy’s artistic director.

Blietz presented “The Nude – and Why,” using his own art and work by Academy students to explain why the human figure has fascinated artists from ancient to contemporary. Blietz also conducted a figure drawing workshop.

The ArtWorks gallery featured an exhibit of work by Sheboygan Visual Art members Agata Augustine and Ray Hagerman, who studies under Blietz.

KAFA features an intensive curriculum devoted to drawing and painting. For more information visit http://www.kewauneeacademy.com.
