Big Brothers Big Sisters Name New Program Coordinator

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin announce the appointment of its new Door County Program Coordinator Patty O’Rourke.

With increased focus on the Door County area, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ goal for 2012-13 is to start a school-based program at Southern Door community schools. O’Rourke will oversee this program.

In this new program, high school volunteers and adults from the area will be matched to Southern Door Elementary students. This school-based program requires the match to meet one hour a week, every week throughout the school year.

Program Director Mary Malcore-Miller explained, “In the 2013-14 school year, our goal is to move into more Door County school districts.”
