Big Brothers Big Sisters Receives Grant for One-to-One Mentoring

The Door County Community Foundation has awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin a Sustainability Grant from the Children & Youth Fund. This grant provides financial assistance to support one-to-one youth mentoring programs in Gibraltar, Washington Island and Sturgeon Bay.

“This youth mentoring program is based on a successful model with proven results,” said John Herlache, board member of the Door County Community Foundation. “The evidence is well documented that these one-to-one relationships cultivate experiences for Door County youth that changes their lives for the better.”
