Big Bundle Up Campaign Report

The Door County tourism industry and local community teamed up to collect 844 cold weather items as part of the recently concluded “Big Bundle Up” campaign that was spearheaded by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The Door County Visitor Bureau Welcome Center along with community visitor centers throughout the county volunteered to be drop off locations for the campaign. Community members were encouraged to drop off new or gently used cold weather clothing items from Nov. 22 to Jan. 2 at any of the drop off sites. Nearly all collected items were donated to the United Way of Door County. “We are thrilled to have these cold weather clothing items to distribute to those in need this winter,” said Amy Kohnle, executive director of the United Way of Door County.
