Big Prize Available for Door County Coffee’s Recipe Contest

Door County Coffee will hold its third annual recipe contest, and they’re excited to announce the winning recipe will be a “preferred qualifier” to participate in this year’s 2016 World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama.

“Our recipe contest winner will receive one year of free coffee sent to their home each month, plus be awarded $1,300 to help cover registration fees and expenses to compete with their winning recipe in Orange Beach,” said Randy Morrow, chief marketing officer at Door County Coffee.

For the third year in the row, Door County Coffee and Tea Co. is seeking recipes from their fans from around the country – the only hitch is one of the ingredients must include a coffee from Door County Coffee.

More than 400 competitors will enter one of nine competition categories in the World Food Championships and the champion of the Door County Coffee 2016 Recipe Contest will be among them.

“Stakes are high and the competition is intense with a total purse of $300,000 in cash and additional prizes, while the ultimate World Food Champion takes home a grand prize of $100,000,” according to Mike McCloud, CEO of the World Food Championships.

All types of recipes are welcome in the Door County Coffee Recipe Contest and all will be reviewed closely by the Door County Coffee chefs and baristas to choose the winners. Submit recipes to doorcountycoffee.com by June 30, 2016.
