Birch Creek 2017 Concert Tickets Now Available

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is pleased to announce that tickets for the 2017 summer concert season are now available for purchase at birchcreek.org/tickets or by visiting The Birch Creek Facebook Page Events tab. All 2017 concerts will begin at 7:30 pm with 7 pm pre-show music unless otherwise noted.
The Percussion & Steel Band Session will showcase performances by students and faculty from June 22-24 and June 28-July 1, under Program Director Dan Moore, Director of Percussion at The University of Iowa. Birch Creek’s percussion performances feature a diverse range of styles from Caribbean grooves with steel pan master Liam Teague, to percussive jazz, authentic world music, and more. The June 30 percussion concert will feature guest performer Mat Britain.
Symphony session concerts, under Program Director Ricardo Castañeda and Conductor Brian Groner, will run July 4-8 and July 13-15. The orchestra will perform works by Bach, Sousa, Dvorak, and other classical mainstays. Special events include Birch Creek’s Annual Independence Day Concert, “A Celebration of America,” on July 4, 4 pm, with a pie and ice cream social before the event as well as free entry for children under 11.
Big Band Jazz concerts will run in two sessions from July 19-22, 26-29 and Aug. 2-5, 9-12. Program Director Jeff Campbell and the Birch Creek Academy Jazz Orchestra return to Door County for sixteen nights of the best, most authentic jazz in Door County, with faculty performers from all across the country playing jazz favorites by Ellington, Basie, and many more. Students will be featured in pre-show combo performances and big band numbers as well.
Ticket prices are $29 adults, $10 students and $6 children, with premium seating available for $34. Group rates available for parties of 15 or more.
