Birch Creek Concert Season Begins June 19

Birch Creek launches the 2014 concert season on June 19 with A Drumming Mosaic, showcasing the Birch Creek Percussion and Steelpan Faculty. The concert begins at 8 pm, with student ensemble prelude music at 7:30 in the gazebo.

Program director Ben Walhund and the Percussion Faculty Ensemble will kick off Birch Creek’s 39th year, highlighting the musical stylings of jazz, rock, Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, Brazilian and Indian cultures. Concertgoers will enjoy the performance in the iconic Dutton Concert barn, a renovated century-old barn and the unveiling of the new concession stand and gift shop.

Tickets are available for purchase online at birchcreek.org or by phone at 920.868.3763. Prices are set at $29 for adults, $10 for students, and $6 for children (11 and under). New this year is a reserved section, which is comprised of the first few rows in the center section of the 500-seat Dutton Concert Barn. All reserved section seats are $34.
