Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors Perform Outreach Concerts

Birch Creek’s Jazz Students will perform free “outreach concerts” at the Sister Bay Pavilion, across from Al Johnson’s, on July 27 and Aug. 10 from 3 – 5 pm.

The concerts will feature students performing jazz numbers in a big band setup. The bands this summer will be directed by Phil Crews and Gil Wukitsch during the Jazz I session, and Steve Sveum and Jim Stombres during the Jazz II session. The free outreach concerts will also feature performances from the Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors, an audition-based jazz combo comprised of advanced student musicians.

Jazz concerts at Birch Creek will be held Wednesday – Saturday every week from July 20 – Aug. 13. Tickets may be ordered online at birchcreek.org/tickets.
