Birch Creek Receives Arts Board Grant

Birch Creek (birchcreek.org) has received a grant from the WAB CARES program of the Wisconsin Arts Board (WAB), which is providing emergency support to arts organizations affected by the pandemic. The grants help to fund salary support, fees for artists and costs for programs and/or facilities.

“These one-time funds will help our arts groups remain and reemerge as vibrant parts of Wisconsin’s creative economy,” said Kevin Miller, Arts Board chair. “Artists and arts organizations are an integral part of our local communities and increase the quality of life for all.”

Because of support from the WAB and the National Endowment for the Arts, Birch Creek is continuing to actively pursue its mission of providing performance-based instruction to promising young musicians in 2020. In September, Birch Creek faculty and an alumnus will present Studio Sessions online for musicians in all genres.
