Birch Creek Summer Concert Tickets On Sale

Soon students and faculty from across the country will flood the campus of the Birch Creek Music Performance Center as they begin their intensive instruction in two-week sessions in Percussion & Steel Band, Symphony and Jazz. More than 30 concerts are offered this summer during the eight-week academy.

Tickets are now available for Birch Creek’s summer concerts, which begin with Percussion & Steel Band’s Faculty Showcase on June 21. Other Percussion and Steel Pan concert dates are June 22-23 and June 27-30.

Birch Creek’s Symphony concerts begin with a patriotic matinee performance at 4 pm on July 4. This concert is preceded by a traditional pie and ice cream social at 2:30 pm. This year, all of the Symphony session concerts feature water-themed music in tribute to the Celebrate Water Door County initiative.

Big Band Jazz has toe-tapping concerts in line for Jazz I on July 18-21 and July 25-28, and Jazz II on Aug. 1-4 and Aug. 8-11. The music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Glenn Miller are featured on several nights.

Tickets are $29 adults, $10 students and $6 children, with premium seating available for $34 (all ages). Group rates are available for parties of 15 or more. For a full concert schedule and more information visit birchcreek.org.
