Birdhouse Workshop at the Ridges

There is an upcoming snowshoe hike and bluebird house-building workshop at The Ridges. Join a Ridges naturalist for an evening snowshoe hike on March 5 at 6:30 pm and experience the trails by headlamp and flashlight. Round out the evening with a campfire and marshmallow roast back at the cabins. If snow cover is insufficient, the hike will be done without snowshoes. Snowshoes are available to rent for a $5 fee. Meet at the Marshall Cabin, 8288 County Q, Baileys Harbor. Fees are $5 per adult for Ridges members and $8 per adult for the general public. Children under 18 hike free. At the annual Bluebird House Workshop at The Ridges on March 7, visitors can learn about ways to help bluebirds and build a nesting box. Workshops will be held at 10 am and 2 pm at The Ridges Kaye Cabin, 8288 Hwy Q, Baileys Harbor. The workshop fee is $10 per adult for Ridges members, $13 per adult for the general public and $5 per child. Materials for one bluebird house are included in the fee. Additional birdhouse kits may be purchased for $5 each. All materials will be supplied, but participants are encouraged to bring their own hammers. Advance registration is required for the house-building workshop. Register online at RidgesSanctuary.org or call 920.839.2802 for both events.
