Door 44/Parallel 44 Announce New Wine, Awards

Part of the Vintner’s Choice Club, Dazzle is the newest wine release from Door 44/Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery in Sturgeon Bay and Kewaunee. This semi-sweet rosé blend is made from Marquette, Frontenac Gris and Louise Swenson grapes, which creates notes of cherry and apple blossoms. 

This latest release follows earning the Winery of the Year for 2022 accolade during the International Cold Climate Wine Competition, held May 6 in Minnesota, where a 19-judge panel evaluated 325-plus wines. Parallel 44 also earned Best of Show/White and Best of Class/La Crescent for its 2021 La Crescent, and Best of Class/Red Blend for its 2021 Nouveau Rouge.

Kelly Lewis – known as the Traveling Knife Sharpener – will return to the Savory Spoon, 12042 Hwy 42 in Ellison Bay, on June 18, 9 am – 1 pm, to sharpen kitchen knives on-site. She will also have other sharpeners available to spruce up garden clippers and other cutting tools. Credit-card payment is appreciated.
