Bjorklunden of Baileys Harbor Hosts Free Concerts

Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a couple free concerts in January.

On Sunday, Jan. 9 at 1:30 pm, students from the piano studio of Michael Mizrahi will perform works of Schumann, Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Ligeti, Beethoven, and others.

On Sunday, Jan. 16 at 1:30 pm, Lawrence University’s viola studio retreat led by Associate Professor of Music Matthew Michelic and assisted by guest artist Jennifer Snyder Kozoroz will culminate with a concert.

Kozoroz received her Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School and is widely experienced as a professional orchestral musician, soloist and chamber musician.

The concert will also feature individual performers as well as Lawrence’s Own Viola Ensemble (LOVE) performing works spanning several centuries.

The performances are sponsored by the Boynton Society and will be held in the Bjِrklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Bjِrklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.
