Bjorklunden Offers 4-Day Amsterdam Excursion

Lawrence University’s Bjorklunden is offering opera lovers a rare opportunity to experience an international world premiere featuring Wisconsin native son and Lawrence graduate Dale Duesing.

Lawrence is sponsoring a four-day trip to Amsterdam June 7 – 11 that includes premium seats to the world premiere of “Waiting for Miss Monroe” at the famous Stadsschouwburg Theatre. Duesing, a 1967 Lawrence graduate and 1993 Grammy Award winner, plays Fox, an impatient film producer who is making a movie starring Ms. Monroe.

In addition to the opera, the trip will include a guided sightseeing excursion through the Dutch capital city, a canal cruise, a tour of the Palace Het Loo and a trip to Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the world’s largest collection of fresh cut flowers.
