Bjorklunden Offers Diverse Seminars

Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden is offering diverse learning seminars set to take place at Bjِrklunden’s lodge, just south of Baileys Harbor.

From Sunday, June 13 until Friday, June 18, “I and Thou” taught by Jay Brickman will explore the profound difference between treating another as a person or a thing by studying relationships depicted in the Bible. “Chronosophy: Developing a Sense for Deep Time” taught by Maricia Bjornerud will explore the scientific and philosophical aspects of geologic time. “Exploring Midsummer’s Music” taught by Jim Grine is an up-close and personal encounter with the music and players of Door County’s acclaimed Summer Chamber Music Series.

From Sunday, June 20 until Friday, June 25, Bjِrklunden is offering “American Environmental Writers” with Monica Rico, a class that will study writers who have contributed to environmentalist though from a range of time periods.
