Blessing of the Fleet Celebrates Maritime Industries May 19 & 20

Blessing of the Fleet pays tribute to both past and present fishing and maritime industries in Baileys Harbor. Festivities begin Saturday, May 19.

Bring your personal boat in the morning to receive the Blessing Ceremony at 12 pm. Commercial and charter fishing boats will be docked at the marina until 5 pm and will be open for touring and meeting with the captains. Hickey Bros. Fisheries, Baileys Harbor Fish Company, Henriksen Fisheries, Silver Strike, First Choice Charters, Shoreline Cruises, U.S. Coast Guard and Baileys Harbor Fire Rescue Boat will participate.

Don’t miss live music by Water Street Hot Shots, food, drinks, and the arts & crafts fair. Sunday, May 20 kicks off the first Sunday Farm Market on the Town Hall Lawn from 9 am to 1 pm. For more information, call 920.839.2366 or email [email protected].

Saturday, May 19
9am-4pm:  Arts & crafts, Town Hall Lawn
10am-2pm:  Guided lighthouse tours; sorry, no dogs allowed
10am-4pm:  Lighthouse Society stamps, Visitor Center
11am-5pm:  Food & drinks, tour the fishing boats, Town Marina
11:30am:  Door County Scottie Rally “Parade of Scots,” the route goes down County F and circles the Town Hall
12pm:  Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony with Father Ruby, Town Marina
12:30-3:30pm:  Water Street Hot Shots, Town Marina
5pm-close:  Lake To Table: A Taste of Baileys Harbor Culinary Event. Participating restaurants include Top Deck Restaurant & Bar at Gordon Lodge, Chives Restaurant, Harbor Fish Market & Grille, The Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub, and Thyme Cuisine.
