Bluegrass Camp Expands Enrollment Options

Enrollment opportunities have just expanded for the eagerly awaited Door County Bluegrass Camp, which will be held at Wagon Trail resort from August 3 – 8. Though camp participation was previously limited to adults, enrollment has now opened to enthusiastic students of all ages. Lodging in the hotel remains restricted to adults, but students under 18 are encouraged to enroll as day students.

The Door County Bluegrass workshop will provide lessons for a variety of instruments and skill levels, including guitar, mandolin, bass, and banjo, as well as classes in a range of subjects from yodeling to songwriting. Classes will be taught by a team of instructors renowned in Door County and beyond, including Eric Lewis, Tommy Burroughs, Lynn Gudmundsen, Karen Mal, Mark Hembree, and Chris Cairns.

On August 2, Lewis, Burroughs, Cairns, Gudmundsen, and Mal will give a kickoff concert at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. Tickets range from $8 – 15 and may be purchased by calling 920.743.1760.
