BOAT SHOW COMING AUGUST 5-7

The Classic and Wooden Boat Show will be held Aug. 5-7 on Sturgeon Bay’s historical waterfront, which now boasts a new promenade and the Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower.

During the show, boaters will display their classic vessels on land and in the water. Register to display your classic boat and compete for awards at dcclassicboatshow.com. Also shop for treasures at the boathouse sale; learn from U.S. Coast Guard demonstrations and historical displays; and enjoy tasty food and drinks.

Returning for the 31st anniversary weekend are Destination Sturgeon Bay’s Bloody Mary Social and the Sikaflex Build-a-Boat Challenge, in which two-person teams work feverishly with limited materials to craft a one-of-a-kind boat that will actually float during “sea trials.” Find more details and sign up for the Sikaflex Challenge at dcmm.org.
