Body Recovered at Cave Point County Park

Emergency responders recovered the body of Eric Richter, a 57 year-old Neenah man who was reported missing after stopping to take photos at Cave Point County Park.

Richter’s body was recovered in the waters off of Cave Point Wednesday, March 20 at about 4:30 pm.

Firefighters from the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department and a Department of Natural Resources warden recovered the body after the Door County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a possible body in the water. According to a release from the Sheriff’s Department the recovery efforts were hampered by rough seas, high winds, and slippery rocks.
