Bookmobile Brainstorming Session

The Heritage Alliance of Door County is hosting a brainstorming session May 10, 6 pm, to gauge the impact of and commitment to a fully restored and operational Door County Bookmobile.

From 1950 until 1989, the Door County Library operated a service that shared books with rural readers throughout the peninsula. The Egg Harbor Historical Society acquired the Bookmobile in 2014 from local journalist John Enigl with the goal of restoring it for historical purposes.

The brainstorming session will involve key volunteers who will provide a brief history of the Bookmobile, the current plan and budget for its restoration, and an update on recently completed work. Then a facilitated conversation will seek to capture attendees’ ideas, questions and goals.

Email [email protected] by April 28 to sign up to attend the session at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor.
