BookNook Gardens Opens Fundraising Store in Egg Harbor

The nonprofit BookNook Gardens group is opening a headquarters and fundraising store, The BookNook Garden House, in the “little blue building” at 4666 Orchard Road in Egg Harbor. The store will offer local, beautifully handmade and crafted garden accents, apparel, tote bags, prints and paintings.

The Garden House is currently promoting its birdhouse egg collection. Crafted by local artists, these nine one-of-a-kind, ceramic eggs are mini masterpieces, sealed and fully functional as birdhouses.

The BookNook Gardens will also offer fall fun at the Garden House during Pumpkin Patch weekend, Oct. 12-13. The store will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 12-4 pm; plus it will participate in the Egg Harbor Business Association’s pumpkin and scarecrow display contest, and offer baked goods, children’s pumpkin rock designing and a craft table. Jeff Olson will demonstrate his pumpkin-carving skills, and children’s authors Anne Emerson and Sue Jarosh will sign books Saturday, 10 am – 12 pm; and Sunday, 12-4 pm.
